Casa JC began with a simple idea: to share a small piece of Cabo Verde the way it’s actually lived. Jean-Charles first arrived from Canada over 30 years ago and never quite left. What started as a temporary work contract turned into a life built here.
Casa JC offers a charming alternative to traditional hotel stays. Set in a villa in Praia’s embassy district, we’re conveniently placed between the city’s administrative, commercial, and residential centers; close to everything, but tucked into a quiet corner of its own.

Very good place to stay for some days in Praia. Easy going, nice staff, breakfast together with all guests. Transport to and from the airport or harbor can also be organized. We will for sure come back.

A wonderful discovery, this guesthouse is very well located, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, yet quiet. JC is a friendly, passionate host, always ready to advise and give you tips. He arranged our transfers upon arrival and departure.
He truly accompanies you throughout your stay.
The room was certainly a little small, but functional and very clean. The breakfast is really good quality, with local products, homemade jams, homemade yogurts, a lovely fruit basket, ham, cheese, and a delicious hibiscus juice…

A friendly place, Jean Charles, the owner, is very helpful, accommodating, and full of good advice. Close to a lovely little beach and good restaurants nearby, we spent three nights there and are returning for the end of our trip. The added bonus is the swimming pool for cooling off!
